Course Goal:

This session explores the intersection of neuroscience and career development through the Brain-Based Career Development (BBCD) model.

Session Objectives:

- Explain key principles of the Brain-Based Career Development (BBCD) model and illustrate how these principles can be applied to career guidance, advising, counseling, and coaching contexts.

- Analyze decision-making through a brain-based lens by identifying how cognitive processes such as attention, memory, and emotional regulation influence client or student career choices.

- Recognize signs of cognitive overload in clients and demonstrate strategies for managing it, such as task chunking, stress-reduction techniques, and prioritization frameworks

- Apply at least two brain-based strategies within their own career development practices to promote motivation, engagement, and effective problem-solving.
