The National Career Development Association (NCDA) is a founding division of the American Counseling Association (ACA). The mission of NCDA is to promote the career development of all people over the life span.
To achieve this mission, NCDA provides service to the public and professionals involved with or interested in career development, including professional development activities, publications, research, public information, professional standards, advocacy, and recognition for achievement and service.

The Defendant/Offender Workforce Development Conference is a unique event for anyone working with offender reentry. With 650,000 people being released from prison annually, this conference has become a premier crime reduction and employment event in the country. The 2010 National Planning Committee, includes representatives from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, National Institute of Corrections, US Department of Labor, Office of Probation and Pretrial Services; Administrative Office of the US Courts, and the National Career Development Association.
