Having Fun Doing What We Love - And Winning Prizes !

How fortunate we are in this field to do what we love, reach out and touch the lives of others in a positive way, and call it our work! NCDA members work in a wide variety of settings nationally and internationally and enjoy many opportunities to do a variety of activities that include counseling, teaching, mentoring, research, and writing to list a few. NCDA initiated the Each One Reach One (EORO) campaign last fall to try to capture a little flicker of that flame that brings light, comfort, and understanding to others through our work as career development specialists. We know all of you are doing so much professionally, and we invite you to take just a few moments to share some (even one) of your activities with us.
We�re offering these SUPER prizes to NCDA members who are getting involved with the EORO campaign:
- * A free airline ticket to anywhere in the continental US
- * Conference Registration fee waived to the 2005 NCDA conference in Orlando, FL
- * $100 gift certificate to purchase NCDA resources from the online Career Resource Store
- * and more fun prizes!
Several prizes result from the generosity of Darrell Luzzo, NCDA member and Senior Vice President, Education at Junior Achievement Inc. (J.A.), a strong partner with NCDA�s EORO campaign. J.A. recognizes the importance of career counseling and preparing our youth for the world of work through their many educational programs and activities that reach approximately four million youth annually.
All NCDA members who select JUST ONE Each Reach Option and register that Accomplishment will be entered for the free plane ticket and many other prizes. Those members who register MULTIPLE Each Reach Options and Accomplishments (either on one log-in to www.NCDA.org or multiple log-ins over time) will have an opportunity to win these prizes including other select prizes.

From the comments that have been shared, it is clear that you are making a difference and helping others learn about the numerous benefits available to NCDA members and the many ways to contribute to our field, especially at your local state levels and within your work settings.
If you haven't had the chance to participate in the Each One Reach One campaign yet, consider the many ways you can reach out to others. Mentoring a colleague, encouraging someone to consider running for office, writing an article for an NCDA publication (e.g., Career Convergence or Career Developments), or taking time to give a brief talk to a local civic group about career development topics represent a few examples of reaching out. There are other Options listed for your review when you log onto the Each One Reach One webpage.
We have streamlined the process for sharing your Each One Reach One activities. Now you can simply log on to www.ncda.org, review the Each Reach Options , and then indicate your specific Accomplishments . It's that easy! A new and simple two-step process! MAC users may now be able to do this just as easily, and if there are still a few difficulties you MAC users run into, please feel free to fax the information to NCDA (918-663-7058) or call in your information to NCDA (866 367-6232) to tell the staff about your Accomplishment and register for your chance to win one of our super prizes!
