17th Annual platform/poster presentation program at the OPA 134th Annual Conference
2012 Platform or Poster - (Deadline: March 2, 2012)
The Ohio Pharmacists Association and the Council of Ohio Colleges of Pharmacy are pleased to announce the 17th Annual platform/poster presentation program at the OPA 134th Annual Conference, entitled Ohio Research Forum.
It is an exciting venue for faculty, residents, and students to display and discuss the impact of their research with the individuals responsible for serving Ohio citizens with the best the profession has to offer. We are pleased to continue to offer both platform and poster presentations at the 2012 Conference.
The platform presentations are scheduled for Friday, April 20, 2012, from 2:40 p.m. to 4:10 p.m. at the Columbus Convention Center in downtown Columbus. The poster session immediately follows in the lobby adjacent to the Exhibit Hall from 4:10 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. You are invited/encouraged to submit an abstract of your work using the online form (see link below).
The program has capacity for 7 platform presentations and approximately 30 posters. Authors should indicate a preference for a platform or poster presentation on the abstract form. Efforts will be made to honor all preferences; however, the selection committee reserves the right to make the final determination. Authors selected for platform presentations should plan for a 12-minute program including a time for questions. An LCD projector and a computer to load the presentations will be available.
Submission deadline is Friday, March 2, 2012. Notification of acceptance and presentation format/time will be sent via e-mail to the address provided on the abstract 3 to 4 weeks prior to the presentation.
Beginning October 12, 2011, CLICK HERE to submit your Research Forum Abstract Online. You should receive email verification of receipt of your abstract within 5 business days. If you do not receive email notification or if you have any questions, please contact Curt Black curt.black@utoledo.edu or Amy Bennett abennett@ohiopharmacists.org. If you are unable to access the abstract, one can be emailed, fax’d, or mailed to you.
Please encourage students working on projects with application to any aspect of pharmacy practice/administration/management to submit an abstract for presentation at the Conference. We are pleased that this forum has become a permanent part of the OPA Annual Conference. The seven deans representing the Council of Ohio Colleges of Pharmacy encourage your participation, as does the OPA Board of Trustees. You never know who in the audience might be as excited as you by the potential of your findings!
