WHAT WE ARE FIGHTING FOR NOW
The OPA Pharmacy PAC never stops working for you. Currently, we are working toward:
- Work force issues -- creating safer work environments and improving patient safety
- HB 80: Test and treat legislation that would allow pharmacists to test, evaluate, and treat COVID-19, influenza, and strep A pharyngitis
- PBM reform legislation that will eliminate patient steering ("white bagging"), restrictions on mailing prescriptions, and standardize credentialing
- Expand provider status payment to all pharmacists, not just those with consult agreements
- Further implement provider status in private plans
- Legislation to prohibit copay discounts from being taken from consumers
