MRCA SHARP Plus Safety Certification

SHARP Plus Safety Certification is an annual MRCA program for member roofing contractors that combines roofing-specific safety education, training and participation in the MRCA Safety Program Award.

Companies must earn at least 8 certification credits, including completion of the mandatory MRCA Safety Program Award application, to achieve SHARP Plus Safety Certification.

What Is SHARP Plus Safety Certification?

MRCA's SHARP Plus Safety Certification program is geared toward roofing contractor safety professionals and companies that want to strengthen their safety culture through roofing-specific education.

Participating companies earn certification credits through designated safety webinars, educational sessions and the MRCA Safety Program Award. A company must earn at least 8 credits, including the mandatory Safety Program Award requirement, to receive certification.

How Do You Earn SHARP Plus Safety Certification?

Companies complete the certification process by meeting MRCA membership, application and safety-education requirements.

Be an MRCA Member

Your company must be a current MRCA member to participate in SHARP Plus Safety Certification.

STEP 2

Complete the Application

Complete the online certification application and pay the $800 certification fee.

Complete the SHARP Plus Application

STEP 3

Earn at Least 8 Credits

Your company must earn at least 8 certification credits through qualifying activities, including completion of the mandatory MRCA Safety Program Award application.

Annual Renewal: SHARP Plus Safety Certification must be renewed each year.

How Do SHARP Plus Credits Work?

A minimum of 8 credits must be earned by your company to receive SHARP Plus Safety Certification. The credit value for each qualifying activity is shown with that activity.

The MRCA Safety Program Award is a mandatory part of the certification process and is worth 2 credits.

What If You Miss a Live Webinar?

If you cannot attend a live webinar, recordings will be made available later and participants can still receive certification credit.
