Kingston Springs, TN (March 5, 2026) — The Southern Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Association (SCCFA) is delighted to announce the launch of its Capacity-Building and Leveraging Change Grant Program, created exclusively for SCCFA member state funeral and cemetery associations to strengthen their ability to serve both their members and the general public with the highest quality of professionalism and care.
“This is an exciting step forward for SCCFA and for the member associations that serve members of the deathcare profession across our region,” said Jeremy Weaver, President of the SCCFA. “This grant program puts resources behind our commitment—helping associations build capacity, strengthen operations, and expand their impact.”
The program provides grants up to $5,000 to support initiatives that build organizational capacity, foster innovation, and leverage change to benefit members and communities. No cash match is required.
SCCFA’s grant program is designed to be straightforward and supportive, with a clear pathway from concept to implementation:
- Letter of Intent (LOI) — Submit a summary (1 page maximum) describing your association, the proposed initiative, estimated funding request, and partner(s).
- Application Invitation — Upon LOI approval, associations will be invited to complete the full application form.
- Formal Application — Provide a detailed proposal including mission, vision, values, project goals and objectives, budget, and impact measures.
- Review & Approval — SCCFA’s Grant Committee will review applications, initiate a screening interview, and notify applicants of final decisions.
- Implementation & Follow-Up — Successful applicants are expected to implement their projects as proposed and submit a brief final report summarizing results, impact, and lessons learned.
To support strong, forward-looking associations across the region, SCCFA encourages eligible member state associations to submit an initial Letter of Intent and explore funding opportunities now.
