  • Annual Convention: Each year, SCCFA hosts a regional convention partnering with state associations. Attendance typically ranges from 200 to 250 participants, with 50–75 vendor exhibits, dynamic industry programming, and rich networking opportunities.
  • State Partnership & Presence: SCCFA works closely with 16 state associations, supporting convention collaboration, legislative alignment, and shared educational efforts.
  • Member Services & Resources: Through our newsletter, an interactive website, supplier directories, event calendars, and regional coordination, SCCFA provides ongoing value to members.
  • Ethics & Advocacy: Over decades, SCCFA has demonstrated consistent and achievable standards for operational excellence in our profession and stood alongside our member-states during times of need.

Membership & Reach

  • SCCFA is a non-profit regional trade association serving the deathcare profession in a 16-state region of the southern United States: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.
  • Membership comprises approximately 100 active members (cemeteries and funeral homes) and 85 supplier members

We pledge to:

  • Inspire continuous improvement of the deathcare profession across the Southern region
  • Foster and encourage the highest ethical standards in operations, maintenance, and management
  • Represent the full spectrum of the profession—cemeteries, funeral homes, cremation, memorialization, and supplier members
  • Promote active education for members, public trust, fair competition, and non-discriminatory practices in memorial, funeral, and cemetery services
  • Encourage member affiliation and participation in industry legislation to strengthen protection and representation for communities across the region
