Obituary for The Rev. Leslie Schulz

The Rev. Leslie Schulz joined the Church Triumphant on January 20, 2018.  He was 95 years old.

Pr. Schulz graduated from Texas Lutheran College and the University of Texas before obtaining his Bachelor of Divinity from Hamma Divinity School in 1954. He received an honorary Doctor of Divinity in 1975 from Wittenberg University.

Pr. Schulz served Mt. Olive-Mt. Pisgah Parish in Deer Creek, Indiana from 1954-56 and then accepted a call from First Lutheran Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. He served First Lutheran for 36 years before retiring in 1992.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Margaret, his four children, Marie (Charles), Carol, Joy and Steve (Brenda), as well as his four grandchildren.

Services will be held at First Lutheran Church, 1208 Race St, Cincinnati, Ohio on Wednesday, January 24 at 1 pm. Visitation will be from 11 am until 1 pm. A light reception will follow the service.
