The Rev. William C. Zimmann, Jr.

The Reverend William C. Zimmann, Jr. died Sunday, February 27, 2011 after a prolonged illness.

Pr. Zimmann was born November 22, 1933 in South Bend, Indiana. He was ordained in 1958 after earning a Bachelor's degree from Wittenberg University (1955) and completing his seminary education at Hamma Lutheran Seminary (1958). He went on to complete his Master's degree at Trinity Lutheran Seminary in 1980.

Pr. Zimmann served the following congregations in Ohio before he retired in 1999: Emmanuel, New Springfield; Good Shepherd, Lorain; St. John's, Zanesville; and Hope, Springfield.

A memorial service for Pr. Zimmann is planned for early spring at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Centerville. Details are not yet known.

This may well be late, but I rarely hear about anyone over here in Pennsylvania. Still, I am most saddened by Pr. Zimmann's passing. He and I got to know each other when he was in Zanesville, where he was a great help to me during those years. My condolences to the family, and my prayers and praises for his ministry.
