2007 RSA Dissertation Award

RSA has extended its nominations for the 2007 RSA Dissertation Award until December 1, 2006. The Rhetoric Society of America gives a Dissertation Award for the best work in rhetorical study in a given year. This award is open for nominations from any member of the Society.
To be considered for the Dissertation Award, a scholar must be a member of the RSA. Nominations are reviewed by the Awards Committee of the RSA Board, which recommends winners to the Board for final approval. Submit nominations to the Awards Committee Chair:

Nominations should include a letter of nomination from the advisor or some other member of RSA. Additionally, send three hard copies of a dissertation abstract (chapter or longer abstract totaling approximately
35 pages). No electronic copies will be accepted.
Nominations for the 2007 Dissertation Award Deadline - December 1, 2006, for dissertations completed between September 2, 2005 and September, 1 2006. These awards will be presented at the 2007 RSA Institute.
In reviewing nominees for the Dissertation Award, the Awards Committee
considers:
Originality of topic and scholarly work
Strength and persuasiveness of argument
Contribution to rhetorical theory
Quality of written work
