Pharmacy school: The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy

How did you get interested in the profession of pharmacy? I knew that I wanted to have a career in healthcare and through process of elimination in undergrad, I realized that pharmacy was the perfect fit for me.

Why did you choose OPA as a rotation? I view my APPE rotations as a once in a lifetime opportunity to get an intimate look into areas of pharmacy in which I may never get to practice.  I was aware of OPA’s role in advocacy for the practice of pharmacy in Ohio, so I wanted to get a better understanding of what that meant and how this association may have an effect on my future career as a pharmacist.  In addition, classmates highly recommended this rotation.

What was the most significant or surprising experience at OPA? I was surprised by how much is always going on behind the scenes that can potentially have a significant impact on the practice of pharmacy, both in the state of Ohio and nationally.

What other pharmacy associations/organizations do you belong to? APhA, SNPhA
