OPA Residency and Fellowship Expo

The Ohio Pharmacists Association offers the 7th annual Residency & Fellowship Expo on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 11:40 am - 1:50 pm in the Union Station Ballrooms A& B of the Greater Columbus Convention Center in downtown Columbus, Ohio. Pharmacists and student pharmacists can meet residents, fellows and program directors from across the state. The resident will be exposed to all areas of managed care pharmacy. The resident will assist in benefit design and formulary management activities, participate in P&T committee and VAC meetings, participate in MTM activities and in the design of clinical programs, estimate budget impact of formulary changes and clinical programs, design specialty drug initiatives, learn process improvement, develop leadership skills, and perform operational activities such as prior authorization processing. Residents will also volunteer in the community

Don and Amy Bennett have dedicated their professional lives to leadership and professional development of hundreds of pharmacists and student pharmacists. This one-year fellowship will provide pharmacists and non-pharmacists with the in-depth education and training needed to understand the core principles of association management. Fellows who complete the program will be excellent candidates for positions in association management and various leadership roles.

CPESN Ohio Residency with ONU HealthWise and Jackson Center Pharmacy

This residency is ideal for someone interested in independent pharmacy, creating new patient care services, or someone looking for an alternative to retail pharmacy. We merge the ambulatory care aspect of pharmacy with retail pharmacy and administration. This program prepares the individual to be a part of an association (like OPA or CPESN), work in or own an independent pharmacy, or be the clinical coordinator for a group of pharmacies.
