The name has changed from Environmental Consulting and Industrial Hygiene Services (ECIHS), to Beling Consultants, to Raymond-Beling, to Raymond Professional Group, to Emilcott/DGA , and now to SafeX. The owner of our company recently bought out her partner and now owns the company outright.
As part of the deal, she was asked to change the name so as not to be confused with a firm in New Jersey called Emilcott. So, we are the same people but with a different company name!
This gives us an opportunity to remind you of the services we provide to OFDA members, including:
* Preparing the annual Health and Safety Plan required by the Bureau
of Worker's Compensation's Group Experience Rating Program;
* Conducting annual bloodborne pathogen and formaldehyde refresher training as required by OSHA;
* Attending OSHA/EPA Committee meetings;
* Preparing health and safety
newsletter articles for the OFDA's monthly newsletter; and
* Answering members' questions concerning health, safety and environmental issues.
Another important service we provide is conducting regulatory compliance audits at funeral homes that participate in the Group Experience Rating Program. Each year, we use a lottery system to select 20 funeral homes to visit to check for compliance with OSHA regulations. The fee for the audit is paid through members' contributions to the Bureau of Workers Compensation, so there is no direct out-of-pocket expenditure for the funeral homes. During the audit, we check for compliance with OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogen, Formaldehyde and Hazard Communication Standards and provide a written report of our findings that include specific recommendations.
