The Ohio Fire & Emergency Services Foundation is Pleased to Announce the Call for Fellows Nominations

The invitation to become a Fellow will be extended to those who have achieved the highest standards in the fire service. They are honest, trustworthy, dedicated, inspirational, loyal, brave, respected, knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, thrifty, reverent, ethical, moral, distinguished, skillful, still learning and reliable. They are held in the highest esteem by their colleagues.

A Fellows pledge will allow the Foundation to continue to do important work such as the OFE Program, Foundational Leadership Program: Designing Tomorrow's Leader, the Fire Chief's Resource Symposium, Fire Officer classes, etc. 

What is a Fellow?

Fellows exhibit the traits of character held in the highest esteem. Fellows are leaders, motivators, mentors, and communicators. They are honest, trustworthy, dedicated, inspirational, loyal, and brave. They are respected, knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, ethical, and moral.

How Can You Support the OFESF by Being a Fellow?

Your support as a Fellow will allow the OFESF to continue to do important work on behalf of the membership. Through grants, the Foundation has been able to provide seed money to create other leadership programs, including: John Maxwell's 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, the Fire Chief's Resource Symposium, Fire Officer classes, and the Ohio Fire Executive program.

What is Expected as a Fellow?

We ask you to join your colleagues and make a commitment to financially support the work of the Ohio Fire & Emergency Services Foundation by becoming an OFESF Fellow by pledging a total of $500, to be paid over a period of five years. The OFESF is a non-profit organization under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Therefore, your contribution may be deductible upon payment, if you itemize your deductions for federal income tax purposes.

What are the Perks of Beina Fellow?

Specialized Fellows commendation bar for uniform; Fellows luncheon at the OFCA Winter Symposium; Reduced pricing on registration fee for the OFCA Winter Symposium; and Specialized fellows ribbon at the OFCA Annual Conference.

Please keep in mind that you do not have to be a Fellow to nominate an individual. While determining who you would like to nominate, please acknowledge the criteria of a Fellow.
