Job Description:
Provide overall management and direction for digital content on our website, mobile, tablet and social media. The DMM works at the director of the news director and assistant news director and collaborates closely with the digital content staff, news management and other department heads, particularly promotion and sales to achieve journalistic, content and business goals.
Job Responsibilities:
• Manage online content and operations
• Coordinate with HTV staff assigned to the web
• Recruits, trains and supervises digital editor and other staff contributing digital content
• Innovate digital projects involving news, marketing & sales
• Primary link between on-air and on-line news as a key member of the news management team
• Staff leader in leveraging social networks and user generated content
• Develop and guide execution of tactics to achieve digital KPI for page views
• Works with creative services on digital marketing strategies
• Interfaces with HTV Digital Corporate staff and other HTV digital managers on news and content projects

Experience:
Experience Requirements:
• Prior management/leadership experience
• Prior experience as a web editor
• Journalism background, strong news judgment, knowledge of legal and ethical issues in social media

• Four Year Degree in Journalism or related field
