| Description | WECT is looking for a full-time Photojournalist to join our news team. This is an entry-level position, perfect for someone looking to gain experience and explore opportunities in the broadcast news industry. You must be self-motivated, have good communication skills, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Primary duties include gathering video, interviews, and information, editing for broadcast and digital/social platforms, setting up/ executing live shots, and other duties as assigned. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Shoot video and interviews for news stories • Non-linear editing for broadcast and digital platforms • Writing for broadcast and digital platforms • Basic news gathering • Other duties as assigned Qualifications/Requirements: - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in journalism, TV production, or related field- equivalent experience considered • Non-linear editing experience • Broadcast and print writing • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds • Flexible schedule • Valid driver's license |
