MSHO is conducting the Certified Medical Office Manager (CMOM) Certification Course in partnership with Practice Management Institute (PMI).  Join us to grow your leadership and problem-solving skills.

Target Audience:
This course is designed for practice managers and administrators who are responsible for overseeing daily operations and do not currently hold the CMOM credential.

Course Review:
CMOM teaches practical administrative skills that lead to improved communication with providers, third-party payers, patients, and business associates. Learn guidelines and examples that will improve decision-making and tactical skills. Graduates of this program will be better prepared to manage risk, motivate employees, and improve the financial outlook in a medical office.  For more information on the curriculum to be covered in this course, click here.

MSHO wishes to support the professional growth of our dedicated administrators and practice managers by covering the expense of this course and exam.  Attendees will be required to put a credit card on file in order to secure their spot, however, no charges will be made as long as you participate in all sessions.  If you miss a session or cancel after July 25, your card will be charged a cancellation fee.

Attendees must schedule and sit for the official online certification exam by September 13, 2025.

HEM/ONC Certification Course:
As an extension of the above certification course, the Business of Hematology and Oncology (HEM/ONC) Certification Course will be offered on October 3, 2025.  Please note you must pass the Certified Medical Office Manager (CMOM) Certification Course in order to attend these sessions. Maintaining Credential FAQ’s :

• PMI requires graduates to earn a minimum of 12 CEUs per annual period through participation/completion of relevant continuing education.
• 1 contact hour = 1 CEU.
• The annual administrative fee for recertification is $90, which is typically paid online at https://www.pmimd.com//certify/pmi-certification-online-renewal.asp.
• PMI certified professionals must earn the required CEUs prior to the expiration date of their certificate.
• A $50 delinquency penalty is assessed when CEUs are not earned by the certificate expiration date or when the payment for the renewal fee is received 31+ days after the certificate expired. This provides a 30 day grace period for receipt of annual renewal fee.
• Lapsed credentials may be reinstated with CEUs and fees up to 3 years only; credentials lapsed more than 3 years can only be reinstated by exam.
