Job Description
• Produce News Stories • Shoot Video in various types of settings and formats
• Edit on Final Cut non-linear
• Lift equipment as needed
• Perform engaging stand-ups or live shots as assigned
• Post stories on station website
• Strategically engage in social media
• Work hours necessary to perform duties under deadline pressure • Ensure news content meets standards of good taste and journalist ethics • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications:
• Highly skilled prior experience in Multi-Media Journalist (two years)
• Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English
• Strong work ethic • Take initiative and possess great news judgment
• Ability to write accurately in Spanish under pressure in a contemporary, compelling and conversational style
• Excellent skills with social media sites and networks (face book, tweeter etc.)
• Ability to work in high pressure, fast pace environment
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Journalism Degree preferred
