Hello, colleagues!
I hope that this message finds you well and that the beginning of your semester has been smooth and productive. I know that the beginning of the semester is a hectic time for everyone. However, we are now within a month of the deadline for proposals for the 2012 Central States Communication Association annual conference and I wanted to be certain that you had the opportunity to be involved.
I have set up a Google Doc with the list of ideas from the 2011 CSCA Conference in Milwaukee. If there is an idea that you particularly like and want to be a part of, please feel free to attach your name and contact information and add to the description of the panel/presentation of your choice. If you see something interesting that someone else has signed up for, contact that person and ask how you can collaborate. The link for the Google Doc is: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1apiu_GbmD1ess_6fZmlSxGkRF2k5CkJtvKMvvVRczRM/edit?hl=en_US. Understand that, even if you contribute to the Google Doc, this does not commit you to a panel or presentation. A formal proposal will still need to be submitted in order to be considered.
Whether you find a collaborator on the Google Doc or if you have a standalone presentation, your proposals are welcome. Please remember that the proposal deadline for all panels and presentations is approaching quickly. The templates and guidelines for presentation/panel submissions are on the CSCA website at http://www.csca-net.org/. The final date to submit a proposal for the 2012 CSCA Annual Conference is Friday, September 30, 2011.
