Dear Rhetorical Theory and Criticism Interest Group Members:
It is the beginning of September and preparations for CSCA 2012 are underway! As such, I have a few reminders. First, panels and competitive papers need to be submitted to me by September 30th. We also need more ideas for any special panels, so please email me your thoughts.
On a related note, we still need reviewers, chairs, and respondents for the 2012 conference in Cleveland. If you have not done so already, please complete the following survey by September 15th to indicate what, if anything, you would be willing to do to help the interest group as we plan for March: https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dGFSOElkZTFHX0pZSGFjQVVFeFA4ZkE6MQ.
Finally, it is with pleasure that I announce that our interest group members have voted to name our top paper awards. From this point forward, we will have two paper awards: the Karlyn Kohrs Campbell Award for our top competitive paper, and the David Zarefsky Award for the top student paper. Winners of each award will receive $50, a certificate, and have their names printed prominently in the conference program and on CSCA’s website.
