Lutherans talk about living liturgy. Faith grows through worship. Church music speaks to us differently, especially in hymn texts. How do clergy, church musicians and committees stimulate thoughtful conversation for meaningful worship?
Pauline M. Fritz has been a church musician for 60 years. Organ major from American University, Washington, DC. Help positions as choir director and organist in congregations in Indiana and Ohio. Member of the American Guild of Organist Exec. Committee of the Columbus Chapter, MNTA, and Ohio Teachers Association which provide a forum for mutual support & inspiration and encouragers excellence in performance and life long learning.

Through this engaging and inspirational session, Annie Ruth will demonstrate how to use visual art and creative writing to impart lessons of spirituality. Participants will receive free curriculum sets to share with their congregations.
Annie Ruth is an internationally acclaimed visual artist/poet, and author who builds bridges and empowers people through art. She has taken her calling a step further, using her work to teach communities how to celebrate themselves. Annie Ruth is a constant and inspiring figure in the community.
The Psalms in Our Worship Life: Why We Can’t Live Without Them

Sung psalmody is increasingly becoming a scarcity in the lives of congregations. We omit them at our peril! This workshop will explore the indispensability of psalms not only to our spiritual lives and our communal experience of God but also to our experience of the fullness of the lectionary.
Nancy Raabe is working at Prince of Peace (LCMS) in Columbus and is also in candidacy with the Southern Ohio Synod as an Associate in Ministry in the area of worship and music.
