The Rev. Richard Gilbertson
The Reverend Richard J. Gilbertson died April 13, 2011 at the age of 74.
Pr. Gilbertson was a second career pastor, having served in the US Air Force and as an engineer at ARINC Companies prior to attending Trinity Lutheran Seminary where he graduated in 1997 with his Masters in Divinity degree.
He served in the Southern Ohio Synod from 1996 until his retirement in 2006. Pr. Gilbertson served as pastor at Grace Lutheran Church in West Carrollton and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in West Milton.
Please keep Judi Gilbertson, wife of Pr. Gilbertson, and their son and daughter in your prayers.
A Memorial Service will be held in May at First Lutheran Church in Dayton. As soon as the synod is aware of further details, we will share them with you.
Update: The date of the Memorial Service has been set for May 22 at 4:30 pm at First Lutheran Church in Dayton.

Our Love and Prayers to Judy, Richie, & Krissy at the passing of their husband and father. We all came out of the same congregation and Sue and I have some great memories of those times. Dick and Richie drove the U-Haul as we moved to Seminary.
