Association Sales Manager
Embassy Suites Columbus Airport Hotel
Indus Hotels, a growing dynamic hotel management company in the Columbus, OH area, is currently seeking an experienced Association Sales Manager for our Embassy Suites Columbus Airport Hotel. The Association Sales Manager will be responsible for maximizing the market’s group travel and meeting needs. This position is responsible for identifying and capturing market share and revenue from the State and National Association market. This position will continually target and prospect for new business through telemarketing, individual creativity and innovation.
Four year prior sales experience in the hotel industry is preferred, consideration given to experience in the State and National Association market and Hilton Hotels.
New Account Development skills are required to capture new accounts through networking, research and outside sales calls in order to target and solicit accounts in addition to maintaining ongoing relationships with the hotel in the Association market.
Account Service and Management skills will be utilized to maintain well-documented, accurate, organized and up-to-date records in HotelSalesPro sales management and file management system in order to serve the client and employer in the most expedient, organized and knowledgeable manner.
The Association Sales Manager will be responsible for responding to all leads through various sources in a timely manner no more than within 24 hours of receipt and based on Hilton Hotels sales guidelines.
Additional expectations include developing business leads, soliciting potential clients, servicing existing accounts, sales and site inspection of the hotel facilities, targeting businesses in assigned market segments and meeting and exceeding budgeted goals for the hotel. Excellent communication skills, knowledge of sales/hospitality principles and practices, computer and Microsoft Office knowledge are also requirements for the position.
