Ideas That Work - Fighting the Drug Epidemic in Ohio

Ohio is facing the worst drug epidemic in my lifetime. In 2014, we lost three to four Ohioans a day to
unintentional drug overdoses from heroin. Every county in Ohio and every city, town and village -
urban and rural - is affected. The human toll, the increased crime, and the economic and societal
impacts of this epidemic are devastating.

This is a crisis. I urge you to join me on January 21, 2016, from  9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mount Hermon Missionary Baptist Church, 2283 Sunbury Road, Columbus, Ohio 43219 along with members of the governor’s office, for an emergency meeting of law enforcement and public safety officials to discuss some of the innovative methods that are producing success. Many communities across Ohio have started to fight back with groundbreaking new ideas that have had a tremendous benefit for law enforcement, public safety, and the community as a whole.
