The City of Riverside, Ohio is seeking qualified candidates to fill the full-time position of Fire Chief. This Executive Officer position, which reports to the City Manager, is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of fire and EMS services throughout the City of Riverside. The Fire Chief supervises a staff composed of 16 full-time, 30 part-time, and 10 volunteer personnel who serve the community from two separate stations.
Minimum qualifications for this position include seven to ten years as a ranking officer in the fire service with at least two of those years having demonstrated strong supervisory experience. Current State certifications as an EMT, Level II Firefighter, Fire Safety Inspector as well as a Hazardous Material Operation certificate. Bachelors Degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
The approved annual salary range for this position is $70,000 - $89,000; depending on experience, and includes a competitive employee benefit package.
