As the title of this CD suggests, each of the three related course segments in this course deals with the business of distribution. The first discusses our role in the channel and how we add value for both of our channel partners. The second deals with basic financial facts in distribution, why it is important for the company to make an appropriate gross profit, and why it is a part of each person's job to protect it. The final segment deals with changes in our role, relationships and responsibilities caused by changes in the distribution marketplace.

The course is about making sure that we get paid for the value we add, protecting our gross profit, and being prepared for coming changes in the industry .

The CD consists of seventeen segments, each with a two-to-three-minute animation presenting a concept, then a concept question to make certain that the learner has absorbed the information. If not, the learner is sent to a remediation screen.

The Practical Application Exercises embedded in the course help the learner apply the concepts to his or her job. At the end of the course, the learner takes a final examination and requests a certificate of completion.
