Rhetoric Society of America - Board Election Results

Dear RSA Friends,

There are so many things that make RSA special but surely one of the most important is the commitment of our members. From the folks who bring their scholarship to our conference, institute and journal to the reviewers of this work to the members of our committees and taskforces, RSA exists because of this commitment. One of the most public and important expressions of that commitment is standing for election to the Board of Directors. Today I write to announce the results of our most recent election and to express gratitude to all those involved in the process.

First, the results!

The following four individuals have been elected to terms beginning on July 1, 2016 and extending through to June 30, 2020:

•      Jessica Enoch, University of Maryland
•      Christa Olson, University of Wisconsin, Madison
•      Ron Greene, University of Minnesota
•      René De los Santos, Universidad Autónoma de Baja California

The following two individuals have been elected to terms beginning on July 1, 2016 and extending through to June 30, 2018:

•      Erica Fischer, University of South Carolina
•      Katie Irwin, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign

These individuals will join with the continuing Board members and officers to constitute the crucial leadership team for RSA. I thank all of them for their commitment and to the excellent service they will provide to our Society.

We also owe a debt of gratitude to all those who were willing to stand for a Board position. Their commitment to RSA is noted and appreciated by us all.

Finally, we should also express thanks to our incredible nominating committee (Krista Ratcliffe, Vanessa Beasley, and Jeff Bennett) and to everyone who voted.

See you all in Atlanta!

Kendall
