OTC Products: What Pharmacists are Recommending (Friday morning)

Audience members will have the opportunity to compare their recommendations, via an audience response system, and discuss the criteria used to make recommendations to patients for self-treatable conditions. New products within each OTC category will also be presented.

The National Cholesterol Education Program (NCEP) guidelines for management of hypercholesterolemia will also be presented.

    Women with HIV/AIDS (Saturday morning)
    Patty Havard, Pharm.D.

If your school requires you to become certified in CPR, this is an easy, convenient, affordable way to do so. The 4.5 hour program begins at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. The cost is $50. Even if this is not a mandatory part of your curriculum, CPR training is important for all health professionals. The passage of Senate Bill 248 allows pharmacists to administer certain adult vaccinations if they have completed a course in drug administration approved by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, are certified by the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association to perform basic life support, and practice under a protocol established by a physician.

You have until March 14 to receive 50% off your total registration (discount doesn't include extra meals, special events or CPR). Plus, you can help your ASP chapter to win $300!
