Ohio Attorney General Local Government Debt Collection Program

The Ohio Attorney General’s Office collects debt owed to state government and public universities and hospitals.  In February of 2012, the Attorney General’s Office began a Local Government Debt Collection program. This program collects selected debt owed to local governments including courts, counties, cities, townships and adult career centers. This program was initially requested by the Ohio Clerks of Courts Association but has grown recently to also include collecting past due EMS debt.

This program is at NO COST to you. The Attorney General’s Office will charge any fees back to the debtor. They can work with any billing company you may be using for your EMS debt.
