Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedic
Cardinal Joint Fire District
The Cardinal Joint Fire District is accepting applications for a full-time firefighter paramedic.
The Fire District is located in Mahoning County and is comprised of the City of Canfield and Canfield Township communities. It covers approximately 25 square miles with a population of 17,000 and a yearly call volume of 2,300. The District's daily staffing is 5 full-time and 4 part-time firefighters, along with a Fire Chief and Deputy Chief. The District provides fire suppression and ALS EMS transport from three fire stations.
Minimum Requirements:
1) Valid Ohio Driver’s License
2) Valid State of Ohio Firefighter II Certification
3) Valid State of Ohio EMT - Paramedic Certification
Applicants who continue to the next stage of the interview process must successfully complete the following:
1) Firefighter Physical Agility Test (time of 4:30) at CJFD or Equivalent
2) Drug Testing and Background Check
3) Minimum Medical Testing and Diagnostic Procedures as required by the Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund
The starting salary is $40,365. Benefits include health insurance, sick leave, comp time, holiday pay, and vacation accrual (after the first year).
Qualified applicants can pick up applications at Fire Station 2 located at 7075 Herbert Road, Canfield, Ohio, and return them by January 5, 2021 at 12:00 noon.
