Full-Time and Part-Time Firefighter/Paramedic
Swanton Fire and Rescue Division
The Village of Swanton, Ohio is accepting applications for full-time and part-time Firefighter/Paramedic and Firefighter/EMT positions. Applications for the full-time position are due on or before 4:00 p.m., December 28, 2020. The part-time application period is open until filled.
There is currently one open position for a full-time firefighter/paramedic or firefighter/EMT. There will be a second opening for a full-time firefighter/paramedic at the end of 2020.
There are several open positions for part-time firefighter/paramedics and firefighter/EMTs.
The ideal applicant should possess the following qualifications, experience, and education:
A valid State of Ohio Firefighter II Certification
A valid State of Ohio/National Registry Paramedic Certification
Haz-mat/WMD Technician
Certification or skills in various aspects of technical rescue
High school diploma or GED Certification
A valid Driver’s License
Experience as an employee of a fire and EMS department
Availability to work consistent hours, including weekends and some holidays.
The ability and willingness to respond to incidents during unscheduled hours
Minimum qualifications, experience, and education that will be considered:
A valid State of Ohio Firefighter I Certification
A valid State of Ohio Emergency Medical Technician Certification
Applicants with one fire or EMT certification may be considered, as well.
High school diploma or GED Certification
A valid Driver’s License
Haz-mat/WMD Operations
Availability to work consistent hours, including weekends and some holidays.
The ability and willingness to respond to incidents during unscheduled hours
