Career Firefighter/Paramedic
Liberty Township Fire Department
Liberty Township, Butler County, Ohio, is conducting a full-time lateral entry hiring process. To be eligible for the initial interview, applicants must have a current Firefighter II certification and meet one of the following; hold a valid Ohio or National Registry Paramedic card, provide proof of enrollment in paramedic school, or a current part-time firefighter with Liberty Township for a minimum of six (6) months.
Applicants must be certified by the State of Ohio as a Paramedic and as an Ohio Firefighter Level II at time of final interview with the Fire Chief. Applicants must be physically able to perform all firefighter/paramedic duties. Applicants must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and remain insurable under the Liberty Township plan. Step 1 starting salary is $58,099 per year. Applicants with full-time firefighter service credit, with a Village, City, Township, or other public agency, may start as high as step 4 ($67,266.87).
