Associate Director of Fire, EMS, & Paramedic Programs

The Associate Director of Fire, EMS, & Paramedic Programs will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Fire, EMS, & Paramedic Programs, with responsibility for the subdivision’s program operations including but not limited to: curriculum design and development, educational delivery and evaluation, program registration, career counseling, assessments, job profiling, and Adult Education data reporting.

LOCATION: Butler Tech Liberty Campus, Public Safety Education Complex

QUALIFICATIONS • A Bachelor’s degree or higher; • Academic training and preparation related to emergency medical services at least equivalent to that of a paramedic; • Appropriate medical or allied health education, training, and experience; • Field experience in the delivery of out-of-hospital emergency care; • Knowledge of: o Methods of instruction, testing, and evaluation of students, o Current National EMS Scope of Practice and National EMS Education Standards, and o Evidence informed clinical practice; • Valid State of Ohio Fire Instructor certificate issued by the Ohio Department of Public Safety or eligibility, willingness, and ability to obtain such credential; • Valid State of Ohio EMS Instructor certificate issued by the Ohio Department of Public Safety or eligibility, willingness, and ability to obtain such credential; • Valid Adult Workforce Education permit(s) issued by the Ohio Department of Education or willingness to obtain such permit(s); • Supervisory experience, including evaluating staff and managing a schedule, preferred; • Effective and demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills; • History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and • Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.

STARTING DATE: ASAP

SALARY: Administration Pay Grade 2 (Ranging from $77,562- 100,825)

BENEFITS: Includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance; tuition reimbursement; 10% Board pickup of retirement contributions WORK YEAR: 230 days - 8 hours/day
