Firefighter/Paramedic (Part-Time)

OVERVIEW:
The Village of Hebron, Division of Fire/EMS, is a career department that staffs 2 full-time and 3 part-time personnel around-the-clock, in addition to a full-time (40 hr.) fire prevention officer and fire chief. Though the department hires both EMTs and Paramedics to fill our part-time roster, the need for paramedics is high. As a result, only paramedic applicants will be considered during this recruitment period. Part-time personnel are compensated at a rate of $15.00/hr. on a bi-weekly basis.
REQUIREMENTS:
All applicants shall meet the following minimum requirements at the time of application: • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age • Have a High School Diploma or GED • Possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License • Certified State of Ohio Firefighter Level II • Certified State of Ohio Paramedic Certification • Capable of working no less than 48 hours per bi-weekly pay period Submitted applications shall include copies of documents validating the above, a resume, and an official driver’s abstract from the Ohio BMV (no more than 3 months old).
PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING:
Applicants that are selected for processing will be subject to an extensive screening process that includes, but is not limited to a: oral interview, background investigation, truth verification test, drug screen, credit check, and medical physical.
