Professional Emergency Physicians (PEP), P.C.
Professional Emergency Physicians (PEP), the largest independent Emergency Medicine group in Indiana, is actively recruiting Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our physician-led team serving community hospitals throughout Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio.
For more than 50 years, PEP has provided exceptional emergency care across the region and currently staffs 13 Emergency Departments within the Parkview Health System, along with Cameron Hospital. Our group is comprised of approximately 125 Emergency Physicians and 55 Advanced Practice Providers dedicated to delivering the highest quality emergency care.
Compensation & Benefits
PEP offers a highly competitive employed physician compensation package with total annual earnings ranging from $400,000–$500,000+, depending on scheduling preferences and clinical hours.
As a W-2 employed physician, you will also receive an outstanding benefits package including:
- 401(k) with employer matching and profit sharing
- $4,000 annual CME reimbursement

- Flexible scheduling with physician input
- Schedules published up to one year in advance
Employer-paid health, dental, and disability benefits provide approximately $25,000 in additional annual value.
Position Highlights
Full-Time Community Emergency Medicine Physician
- Approximately 1,400–1,700 clinical hours annually
- Flexible schedule with 9–15 shifts per month based on physician preference
- 12-hour shifts (6a–6p / 6p–6a or 7a–7p / 7p–7a)
- Average patient volume: 1.7 patients per hour
- EPIC EMR utilized across all locations
- APP coverage at most facilities
- Schedules published one year in advance
Exceptional Clinical Support
- 24-hour hospitalist coverage for admissions
- 24-hour radiology interpretation
- 24-hour respiratory therapy coverage
- In-house X-ray and CT services
- Ultrasound available on-call overnight
- Collaborative physician-led practice environment
Practice Locations
PEP staffs community emergency departments ranging from approximately 10,000 to 20,000 annual visits.
