FBI Searches for Suspect in Fort Lauderdale Truist Bank Robbery

Las Olas, FL - The FBI is searching for a man accused of robbing a Truist Bank in downtown Fort Lauderdale and escaping with an undisclosed amount of money.
The robbery happened around 4:20 p.m. August 13 at the Truist branch at 501 E. Las Olas Boulevard, according to federal investigators.
Authorities said the unidentified man entered the bank and approached an employee.
He allegedly indicated that he had a firearm before demanding money from the worker.
The suspect allegedly received an undisclosed amount of cash and left the bank.
Investigators have not said whether a weapon was displayed during the encounter.
