Call for Readers, Respondents, & Chairs
If you are willing to serve as paper reader, respondent, and/or chair for the interest group, please contact Aimee Miller-Ott at aimiller@hartford.edu. See below for a brief description of these roles.
Paper reader – Responsibilities take place from mid-October to early November, immediately after submissions are due. Paper readers review submissions to determine quality and suitability for presentation at the conference.
Respondent –Reads the panel papers ahead of time, creates feedback for the panelists, and delivers these comments during the panel.
Chair – Person at convention panel who introduces speakers, keeps times of the speakers, and opens the floor for the respondent and audience questions.
If interested, please include in your email 1) your name and contact information; 2) current and past affiliations; 3) if a student, your current stage of education – Master, Doctoral student, etc.; and 4) in which role(s) you are interested.
If you already volunteered for these roles at the last business meeting, and recently reviewed a separate email from me, you do not need to respond to this email! Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions.
