The Ohio Soybean Council is the leader in the State of Ohio in promoting low-linolenic soybeans and the elimination of trans fats. The Ohio Soybean Council developed an advisory committee to its board of directors that will focus solely on the issue of trans fats.
Vision
As a state and national leader in innovative strategies of the multiple uses and benefits of soybeans, the Ohio Soybean Council continues to provide information for the greater whole of Ohio farmers and consumers.
The advisory committee to the board of directors works closely with the Ohio Soybean Council to learn more about trans fats, low-linolenic soybeans and how they can benefit organizations represented by the committee members.
Mission
To educate key audiences on the benefits, challenges, future of low-linolenic soybeans and the opportunities to eliminate trans fats and thus develop healthier lifestyles. In addition, we encourage Ohio farmers to grow products consumers want to purchase and educate consumers to make healthier buying decisions that do not include trans fats.
