WE MADE IT! The 2% Health Plan Discount and Reimbursement Is Ours!

A big THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS to all eligible Portico Benefits Services health plan members for reaching and surpassing our 65% participation goal in the Mayo Clinic Health Assessment! We actually achieved a 74.3% participation rate. Way to go Southern Ohio Synod!

Congregations that contribute to the Portico Benefits Services health plan will receive a 2% refund on their contributions from January to April 2012. They will see for the remainder of 2012 a 2% discount on the contribution amount. That totals approximately $33,000 in savings for all participating congregations and the synod office for 2012!

But wait, there’s more…

Approximately $16,000 will be returned to the synod for use in health and wellness activities. Bishop Holloway will be working with Portico Benefit Services to decide how the approximately $16,000 should be spent. As soon as an acceptable plan is in place, you will be notified!

In addition to the approximate $33,000 in savings and the estimated $16,000 return to the synod, 136 people in our synod earned $150 for taking the Mayo Clinic Health Assessment. In total, the people of the Southern Ohio Synod have received approximately $69,400 in savings and cash back just for taking an online assessment!
