Call for Workshop Proposals for SynodFest 2012 Due Dec 15, 2011
The Education Committee for SynodFest 2012 is issuing a Call for Workshop Proposals from lay and rostered leaders in the Southern Ohio Synod who have an expertise to share with other members of our synod.

Citizen's Tour Rocks Fairborn and Raises $500 for World Hunger!
October 22, 2011 was no ordinary Saturday at Abiding Christ Lutheran Church in Fairborn, Ohio. Crowds of young people and their adult leaders descended on the building to hear Dave Scherer and Rachel Kurtz perform as part of the Citizen's Tour sponsored by the ELCA National Youth Gathering.

What Kind of Results Can I Expect if My Congregation Commits to the 2012-2013 Leadership Institute?
The Southern Ohio Leadership Institute organizers expect that at least two-thirds of participating congregations will increase their worship attendance by 20% or more.

Reminder! Kristallnacht Commemoration November 9 at Trinity Lutheran Seminary
Victoria Barnett, staff director of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, will be the featured speaker for the annual Kristallnacht commemoration on November 9, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Seminary, 2199 E. Main Street. Her presentation, “How the Holocaust Changed Interfaith History,” will take place at 7 p.m. in the Gloria Dei Worship Center. The event is free and open to the public.
