Praise for paramedics as CPR saves man’s life

PARAMEDICS saved the life of 75-year-old John McDermid Watt after he collapsed at Hathaway Retail Park in Chippenham on Saturday.

Mr McDermid Watt was flown from Chippenham to hospital in Bath in just five minutes by Wiltshire Air Ambulance. After he suffered cardiac arrest in the car park, yards from his home in Tugela Road.

A spokesperson for the air ambulance air support unit said: “We were able to take him to hospital because good CPR had been carried out.”
