Fire Chief Unveils Phone App to Improve Heart Attack Response, Treatment

Ralph Hering and April Frezza test out the new free PulsePoint app for mobile phones that issues alerts for nearby cardiac incidents in public places, along with locations for the closest life-saving AEDs. Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue unveiled use of the app across the district Tuesday.  Hering saved Frezza's life last year by administering CPR after she suffered a heart attack.
