CPR and Defibrillator Save Triathlon Swimmer, Fire Officials Say

Authorities say that a San Luis Obispo Triathlon swimmer was saved using CPR and an automated external defibrillator at the Sinsheimer Pool in San Luis Obispo on Sunday.

Lifeguards had removed the swimmer from the pool after becoming unconscious during the event, according to a San Luis Obispo Fire Department news release. Authorities would not disclose the swimmer’s name or any other information about the triathlete.
