Bad Axe State Trooper Receives Second Lifesaving Award

On June 8, Trooper Jason Berg responded to a location in Huron County's Verona Township in reference to a man down, possibly from a heart attack. Berg used his Automated External Defibrillator and delivered three jolts to the 75-year-old victim.
 
An ambulance transported the man to Huron Medical Center for treatment. Doctors credited Berg's quick actions to saving the man's life.
 
The state police granted Berg the award on Feb. 2.
