Local heroes receive awards for life-saving effortsSaturday, August 14, 2010Two township residents who were brought back from the brink of death had the opportunity to thank the local heroes who saved their lives and see them honored last week. A group of six individuals involved in the two life-saving efforts were recognized for their heroics at the Whitpain Board of Supervisors meeting Aug. 3. The first near tragedy occurred nearly five months to the day earlier on March 2. That day, Kate Kelly, 43, suffered sudden cardiac arrest. |
