Aetna has contracted with American Specialty Health Network (ASHN)

Beginning July 1, 2011 all Aetna claims will be processed by ASHN.  Based on our previous professional experience with ASHN we are aware this is a concern to the Chiropractors of Ohio. Many of you have received a letter explaining this transition but for those of you that have not you can see a copy by CLICKING HERE. The OSCA is working diligently to provide its members with the resources they need to ensure fair reimbursement and eliminate unjust claims processing.

We are in contact with both Aetna and ASHN to be clear on what their guidelines are and to ensure they abide by the individual Summary Plan Descriptions of your patients. We know  ASHN has a history of enforcing burdensome limitations and restrictions. We will do WHATEVER it takes to protect the rights of our patients and providers! The OSCA PPACA committee will be monitoring the transition and the ability of our members to treat Atena patients.

These types of situations are why it is important the association and Chiropractors work together.  Once the transition is in effect we encourage all providers to communicate with the association on any and all situations of unjust claim denials or limitations by reviewers and plans.  There are laws in play here and we WILL ensure all parties, both payer and provider, follow those rules.

For those of you who are not members of the association these are the reasons you should be.  We are not able to represent your office in these types of situations if you are not a member.  Become one today and help us to change the environment around you!  CLICK HERE to view all the member benefits we now have and sign up today!

We are working to provide a better environment for you and your patients, but we need you involved!
