Medicare Cuts Freeze Extended to Nov 30
June 24, 2010, At 7:09 P.M. Eastern time, the House approved HR 3692. This is the bill that will extend the freeze on the 21.5% Medicare fee cut until November 30, 2010 (after the elections). It is expected that the president will sign this bill tonight or tomorrow morning and that CMS will issue guidelines tomorrow or Monday. The freeze is retroactive to June 1. It will be safe to start submitting claims that you were holding on Monday morning. As more information becomes available, we will alert you.
