Chiropractic Available to Competitors

The Columbus Weightlifting Club sought help from the OSCA to supply chiropractors to treat weightlifting competitors during the annual Arnold Sports Festival held earlier this month. We are honored to thank the following members for volunteering their time and services:
Dr. Tom Donahue
Dr. John Haggerty
Dr. Tom Jicha
Dr. Darla Lammers
Dr. Rusty Myers

The volunteers were available to treat competitors in the weightlifting competition which was part of the 3-day event. With 44 sports and events, including 12 Olympic sports, the 2010 Arnold Sports Festival presented fitness and fun for all ages. The festival has expanded into the world's largest multi-sport fitness weekend since its 1989 beginning as a one-day professional men's bodybuilding competition. About 170,000 sports fans attended the event to see 18,000 athletes compete in a variety of sports.

The OSCA is also appreciative of the use of an adjusting table loaned by Lloyd Table Company and coordinated by Denis Behm Supply.

"It was a great idea and we learned a lot this first year," reported Dr. Darla Lammers. "It will be a great building block for future year's events."
