Following the success of our 2011 Advocacy Day, the OPTA is excited to invite you to attend our 2012 Advocacy Day at the Ohio Statehouse. As 2012 brings many new changes to Ohio's government, there will plenty of issues that we need your help with! The event will include a program in the morning where you will learn about issues important to advocacy for physical therapy in Ohio. You'll also have an opportunity to meet your state representatives over lunch and later visit their offices to talk with them directly about physical therapy and the importance of our profession.

Directions and Parking:
Ohio Statehouse Atrium - 1 Capitol Square - Columbus, Ohio 43215
- Statehouse Parking Garage: located underneath the Statehouse.
- Enter the parking garage from S. 3rd St. or E. Main St.
- After parking, you can enter directly into the Statehouse (on the ground floor), where you will follow signs to the elevator and the Atrium.
- If the Statehouse Garage is full, use City Center Parking.
- Columbus Commons Parking: located underneath the new Columbus Commons (former City Center Mall location).
- Enter the underground Columbus Commons garage on S. 3rd St. between Town St. and Rich St. 3rd St. is one-way, heading South.
- After parking, please take the elevator to the Main Street exit, and exit onto the corner of Main St. and S. 3rd St.
- The Statehouse is across the street.
- Please enter the Statehouse using the 3rd St. entrance on the ground floor, and ask the information desk to direct you to the Atrium.
Dress:
The dress for the day will be business/professional attire.
